Medieval Stone Conservation

Four years working on the fabric of this magnificent Norman and Gothic cathedral. Projects included conservation of 14th-century carved bosses, repair of tracery and mullion stonework, and maintenance of the cloisters — among the finest examples of fan vaulting in England.

Cathedral Masonry — 7 Years

Seven years on the masonry team at one of northern Europe's largest Gothic cathedrals. Work ranged from routine maintenance of the 13th-century fabric to major restoration projects on the nave, chapter house, and western towers — gaining deep experience in medieval construction techniques and stone types.

Parliamentary Stonework

Conservation of the ornamental stonework on the Palace of Westminster — one of the most recognised Gothic Revival buildings in the world. Work included detailed carving repairs to the exterior fabric, maintaining the intricate decorative elements that define the building's silhouette against the London skyline.

Big Ben / Elizabeth Tower

Clock Tower Restoration

Part of the major restoration programme on the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben). Specialist stone repair and conservation work on one of the most photographed structures in the world, requiring precision work at height on Grade I listed masonry.

Gothic Revival Masterpiece

Conservation and restoration of George Gilbert Scott's Gothic Revival masterpiece. The Midland Grand Hotel at St Pancras required extensive stone repair following decades of exposure, with particular attention to the ornamental facades and carved details that make this building one of London's finest Victorian landmarks.

Heritage Retail Conservation

Stone conservation on the iconic Liberty department store on Great Marlborough Street — a unique Tudor Revival building constructed in the 1920s using timbers from HMS Impregnable and HMS Hindustan. Careful repair of the Portland stone base and decorative elements.

Stone conservation and repair on this historic building in the heart of Lincoln's medieval quarter, adjacent to Lincoln Castle and Cathedral. Sensitive restoration maintaining the building's character within its Grade I listed surroundings.

St Botolph's, Boston

Parish Church Conservation

Conservation work on St Botolph's Church — known locally as the 'Boston Stump' — the largest parish church in England. The 14th-century tower rises 83 metres and required specialist stone repair to its Perpendicular Gothic tracery and decorative elements.
